I have always been interested in personal finance, in knowing and understanding how money works. As such, when I went to University of Tasmania, I decided to study Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance. It was another natural step forward when I came back to Singapore to become a Financial Advisor with Financial Alliance.
The initial journey was tough. I chose to join an independent financial advisory firm despite no guarantee of stable income with my then non-existent personal network after being overseas for so-long. It was a huge leap of faith which I took because I strongly believe that to serve in our clients’ best interest means that we need to be on their side. And for that to happen, we should not be in the position where we represent a specific company, be it a bank or insurance company.
Since then, 3 years has passed…I have since learned the ropes, gotten my driving license, enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Associate Estate Planner Professional (AEPP) course, joined professional organisations such as FPAS and IFPAS Toastmasters Club and gained crucial experience and knowledge, achieving awards, recognitions and certifications. More importantly, I am able to make a difference to my clients life through helping them with claims and mostly with retirement and investment planning.
Moving forward, I will continue doing my best for my clients, in appreciation of the trust they place in me and the continuous stream of referrals they provided which enabled me to get to where I am today.”
